Little Snitch is not available for Windows but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on Windows with similar functionality. Jan 19, 2018 Little Snitch appears to maintain it's own cache of DNS entries as well, so if you've got one application that connects to some CDN's IP via it's own CNAME, many times other applications will appear to be connecting to the first application's CNAME when they attempt to connect to the same IP because LS has resolved that IP to the first CNAME. Dec 23, 2015 The installers progress bar has gotten to about 99% of the way to complete and tells me that it is updating the boot caches. Looking in the Activity Monitor I see that 'Little Snitch Software Update' is holding steady at.4% CPU. Oct 14, 2014 My findings have been that I experienced no issues nor any problems in OS X 10.10 Yosemite Pubic Beta 5, with the Pike Alpha Build 6c697848ef installed, and then installing Little Snitch v.3.4.1 from scratch (not updating from a previous Little Snitch version). The problem seems to manifest itself when updating from a previous Little Snitch.
Apparently, it caches DNS information and won't update it even if you cold boot and power down your DSL modem. I'm pretty sure that's what finally cured DNS on my iBook.
